Kirk Pearson knows what it looks like when an HOA stops acting in good faith. He's seen the selective enforcement, the retaliatory fines, the board meetings where homeowners are talked over or shut out entirely. As a partner at LS Carlson Law, Kirk focuses his practice on representing homeowners—not associations—in disputes that have already escalated past the point of easy resolution.
With extensive litigation and trial experience across California, Kirk brings real courtroom credibility to every case. He's handled matters in both state and federal courts, from Northern California to Southern California, and understands how to build leverage through thorough preparation, strategic motion practice, and—when necessary—trial. That background matters because HOAs often change their approach when they realize they're dealing with counsel who won't back down.
Before law school, Kirk studied English at Brigham Young University—a foundation that sharpened his ability to communicate clearly and cut through legal complexity. He earned his J.D. from Pepperdine Caruso School of Law, where he served as Literary Citation Editor on the Journal of Business, Entrepreneurship, and the Law.
Kirk lives in Orange County with his wife and three children. When he's not advocating for homeowners, you'll find him outdoors—skiing, mountain biking, or camping with his family.

David Lehr has spent his career standing up for homeowners—not HOAs. As a partner in LS Carlson Law's Florida office, he's handled the full spectrum of HOA disputes: selective enforcement, improper fines, governance failures, and boards that believe they're untouchable. He's seen how these conflicts escalate and knows the pressure points that actually move the needle.
What sets David apart is his litigation background. Before focusing on HOA matters, he built deep experience in civil, commercial, and construction litigation—work that sharpened his ability to read opposing counsel, prepare airtight cases, and stay calm when things get contentious. He's represented clients through mediations, arbitrations, trials, and appeals, both in Florida and in courts across the country. That range matters when your HOA thinks you'll back down.
David earned his J.D. and a Master's in Taxation Law from the University of Miami School of Law, graduating Cum Laude. He's been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star multiple years running—but what he's most known for at the firm is his ability to cut through noise and help homeowners understand exactly where they stand.

Mr. Davies spent over two decades representing some of the largest institutional clients in the country—Ford, Chrysler, Mercedes-Benz, Toyota—in complex business and real estate litigation. He learned how organizations with deep pockets think, how they strategize, and how they try to wear people down through sheer attrition.
Now he puts that knowledge to work for homeowners.
Since joining LS Carlson Law in 2019, Mr. Davies has focused on representing homeowners in disputes with HOAs. He's deeply familiar with the tactics boards and management companies rely on—selective enforcement, procedural delays, and intimidation dressed up as "policy." He's seen how these disputes escalate when homeowners don't have someone in their corner who understands the game.
As a key member of the firm's special motions, appeals, and projects team, Mr. Davies handles cases that require precise legal work and careful strategy. When an HOA believes they can outspend or outlast you, he's the attorney who knows how to change that calculation.
Mr. Davies earned his law degree from Willamette University School of Law in 1997 and his undergraduate degree from UC Santa Barbara. With more than 25 years of litigation experience—much of it against well-resourced opponents—he brings a steady hand and a clear-eyed approach to every homeowner case he takes on.

Keith Lehman understands that by the time most homeowners reach out to a law firm, they've already tried reasoning with their board. They've sent emails. They've attended meetings. And they've been ignored, dismissed, or worse—targeted. That's the reality he sees every day in his work representing homeowners against HOAs and COAs throughout Florida.
As a partner in LS Carlson Law's Boca Raton office, Keith brings a background that translates directly to homeowner disputes. His experience in commercial litigation, contract law, and real estate gives him a sharp eye for the tactics associations use—and the pressure points that actually move them. Before joining the firm, he clerked for the Public Defender's Office, where he developed a deep commitment to standing up for people who feel outmatched by the system.
A Florida native raised in the Sunshine State, Keith earned his undergraduate degree with honors from the University of Florida and his J.D. from Florida State University. He now leads cases across LS Carlson Law's pre-litigation and litigation teams, helping homeowners navigate disputes from early-stage strategy through trial if necessary.
Keith's approach is straightforward: understand the problem, know the law, and fight smart. If you're dealing with a board that won't listen, he's prepared to make sure they do.

If you're dealing with an HOA that won't listen, won't budge, or won't play fair, Steven Shack understands exactly what you're up against. As a partner at LS Carlson Law, Steven has handled a wide range of HOA disputes—and he's seen the patterns that repeat when boards believe a homeowner won't fight back.
Steven knows how these situations tend to unfold: selective enforcement, ignored requests, fees that don't add up, retaliation dressed up as "policy." He's deeply familiar with the tactics HOAs use to wear people down, and he brings a strategic, measured approach to leveling the playing field. His goal isn't drama—it's leverage, accountability, and results.
Before focusing his practice on homeowner advocacy, Steven built a broad legal foundation in estate planning, probate, and property damage claims. That background sharpened his ability to work through complex documents and anticipate where disputes are headed—skills that prove essential in HOA matters, where the fine print in CC&Rs often determines outcomes.

Some attorneys handle one kind of fight well. Vasko Alexander handles two—and brings the same intensity to both.
For businesses in transportation, logistics, and manufacturing, Vasko is a go-to litigator when disputes turn serious. He regularly represents freight forwarders, inter-modal shippers, trucking companies, warehouse operators, and freight system manufacturers navigating complex commercial conflicts. He also has deep experience in construction litigation, advocating for contractors, subcontractors, materials suppliers, and installers across Southern California. When informal resolution fails, Vasko steps in with urgency and a clear plan.
For homeowners caught in HOA disputes, Vasko brings that same tactical edge. He has handled contentious matters involving board overreach, fiduciary breaches, selective enforcement, and wrongful fines—and he understands how these conflicts escalate. His litigation background means he knows how to build leverage and apply pressure strategically, not just react.
What clients in both worlds appreciate: Vasko is aggressive when the situation calls for it, but never reckless. He translates complex legal problems into practical options and moves cases forward decisively. He's direct, personable, and easy to work with—even when the fight isn't.
Outside the courtroom, Vasko camps and fishes with his family, experiments in the kitchen, and subjects his kids to an ongoing campaign of dad jokes.

Tate Casey has spent over a decade doing one thing well: standing up for regular people against powerful organizations that expect them to back down. Now, as a Senior Associate at LS Carlson Law's Orange County office, he brings that same fight to homeowners facing HOA disputes.

Kevin Hirsh understands what it feels like to be the underdog in a housing dispute—and he's been in your corner since long before he joined LS Carlson Law.
As a senior associate in the firm's Boca Raton office, Kevin represents homeowners against HOAs that have stopped acting in their residents' best interests. He's seen the patterns: boards that selectively enforce rules, management companies that ignore legitimate concerns, and associations that use fines and fees as leverage instead of solutions. Kevin knows how these disputes escalate—and more importantly, he knows how to change the dynamic.
His path to HOA advocacy started in law school, where he spent time in the Tenants' Rights Clinic fighting for individuals caught in housing conflicts. When a homeowner comes to Michele Hobby frustrated, overwhelmed, or unsure if they're even being treated fairly by their HOA, she gets it. After years of handling HOA disputes in Florida, she's seen the patterns—how boards overstep, how management companies stonewall, and how homeowners get worn down by a process designed to exhaust them. That's exactly why she does this work.
Michele brings 17 years of litigation experience to every case. Before joining LS Carlson Law, she spent years as a prosecutor, trying hundreds of cases and learning how to build arguments that hold up under pressure. She also served as a judicial extern for Judge Richard Seeborg (now Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California), which gave her a clear-eyed understanding of how judges evaluate cases and what actually moves the needle.
Today, her practice focuses on representing homeowners—not associations—in HOA and condominium disputes. She works to resolve matters efficiently when possible and litigates with precision when that's what it takes. For Michele, a home isn't just property. It's where you're supposed to feel safe. When an HOA threatens that, she takes it personally.

Carolyn Stiffler knows how HOAs think—because she used to represent them.
Before joining LS Carlson Law, Carolyn worked for a firm that defended homeowners associations. She saw firsthand how boards operate, how management companies respond to pressure, and where associations tend to overreach. Now, she uses that insider knowledge to fight for the other side: homeowners.
As a senior associate at LS Carlson Law, Carolyn has handled a wide range of HOA disputes—selective enforcement, improper fines, maintenance failures, governance violations, and more. Her background in civil litigation, including real estate and business law, gives her a strong foundation for navigating complex legal dynamics. But what sets her apart is her ability to anticipate how an HOA will respond and build a strategy around it.
Carolyn's approach is grounded in preparation, not posturing. She takes time to understand each client's situation, reviews the governing documents carefully, and focuses on what will actually move the needle. Homeowners who work with her often say she makes them feel heard—and confident that someone finally understands what they're up against.

Jocelyn Chidsey knows what it looks like when someone with power refuses to play fair. Before joining LS Carlson Law, she spent years in plaintiff's litigation—fighting for people in personal injury and commercial disputes who were up against better-resourced opponents. That work taught her something she brings to every HOA and COA case: how to dig in, stay sharp, and get results when the other side expects you to give up.
Now, Jocelyn focuses that same tenacity on representing homeowners in association disputes across Florida. She's seen how boards operate when they think no one's watching—and how quickly things change when a prepared attorney steps in.
A Palm Beach County native, Jocelyn earned her law degree cum laude from North Carolina Central School of Law, where she received the Book Award in Torts and held leadership roles in multiple legal organizations. Her judicial internships—including with the North Carolina Court of Appeals and a federal magistrate judge—gave her early exposure to property, contract, and administrative law, all of which inform her work today.
Outside the office, Jocelyn volunteers with the Animal Legal Defense Fund and has a history of pro bono service helping tenants navigate housing disputes.
She's licensed in both Florida and North Carolina and was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2023 and 2024.

Today, as owner of LS Carlson Law, PC, he and his team of powerhouse attorneys service clients with their business, real estate, and estate planning needs. By nature, he is a strategist and loves analyzing a situation to determine the best solution to a client’s issue. Carlson understands that the practice of law provides endless opportunities to engage in strategic thinking. Whether it be against an opponent in litigation, which is simply a civilized form of war, or if it comes down to leveraging the laws to protect wealth and legacy, as in estate planning, strategy is essential.
When it comes to the litigation branch of the firm, Carlson is proud of his established team of attorneys who work together to leverage decades of experience in both business and real estate litigation and counts them as the very best in the legal field. As a curated team of battle-tested, highly skilled lawyers, they operate with a single objective – to win. Carlson, like many of the firm’s clients, has grown intolerant of the archaic approach of older, traditional law firms. In turn, Mr. Carlson prioritizes efficiency and innovative strategies, and in doing so, has waged war on the “old way of doing things.”
Further, the firm’s transactional services range from corporate related services to tax guidance to estate planning. As these areas of the law require a unique, custom plan for each and every client, again, Carlson ensured he assembled a team of exceptionally skilled attorneys to provide his clients with the utmost level of legal services to fit their needs.
As the firm continues to grow, Carlson is constantly analyzing new opportunities for expansion into various new markets. Next up is the firm’s launch into Texas in the coming months which will bring the firm from a dual state to a multistate footprint.
Carlson resides in Southern California with his wife, Jenny, and their four children.
