James Vermazen, a native of San Diego, California, received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Nevada, after which he studied law through the California Law Office Study Program.

James has prior experience assisting clients in tax planning, tax controversy, and tax collections matters. He has also assisted clients in drafting wills, trusts, and other estate planning matters. Before becoming an attorney, he was also licensed to represent clients before the IRS as an Enrolled Agent.

James joined LS Carlson Law in April of 2023 as an associate attorney in the tax department, focusing on assisting clients in claiming the Employee Retention Credit (ERC) and related matters.
